A priate band of mech jockeys arrive on an island city on a far-flung world, planning to stage an elaborate kaiju attack. All a set up, this fake kaiju attack will allow them to demand protection money. It's easy. Just wrap one of their mecha in a giant rubber suit. 

What can go wrong?

Of course, everything. 

The hoax goes south when a real kaiju attacks from out of the water and they have to actually defend the city they were planning to grift!
